if i press the button go with execute sql, the following message appears as usual.

This tool allows you to upgrade the database to match any changes made to bean vardefs and relationship metadata.
You may choose from three options :
Display SQL will display the sql that will be executed on the screen
Export SQL will export the sql to a file
Execute SQL will execute the SQL.

unfortunally the other bunch of messages don't appear, such as mismatch etc. and the screen stays blank, allthough done is displayed in the bottom left corner. I checked it with the files and concluded that the system had not executed sql.

What could be the problem? it has worked before. Somebody knows how to solve this.
