Expected Closing Date not showing the correct date & format

We're using SugarCRM 5 already and we're having problem when creating task or even job and putting due date.

If we're going to create new task and put a due date: 13/12/2008 (dd/mm/yyyy)

The result will be, due date: 12/01/2009 (mm/dd/yyyy), one year is added and in the actual due date and giving wrong date also date format is wrong.

Current Time Zone setting : GMT+3 (Asia/Qatar)

We have changed the date format already as (dd/mm/yyyy)

anyone pls? any idea how to resolve the due date or closing date problem? its not showing the correct date as entered before.
