export contacts from goldmin to sugar

Hello I am pretty new to sugar and my company currently is using goldmine. We have the sugar community edition and we would like to export stuff to sugar and I am kind of stuck. I was reading some where that you can't export and that you need to use a third party service. Is this true or does anyone know another way.

The comment regarding the export option is not correct.

GoldMine offers various ways of exporting data, but the amount of data you can export will vary depending on which method you use.

The challenge in these type of migrations usually relates to how much data needs to be migrated over. A simple/basic migration would be just moving contacts/accounts over to Sugar and can be accomplished with Sugar's built-in import capabilities.

Anything involving the migration of e-mail would present a number of challenges and if you plan on doing it yourself, expect a lot of work and frustration.

You may use Apatar tool. It is open source data migration tool. You may use MSSQL or Dbase connector (depends on which database you have at the backend) to accedes your Goldmine data. Then you can easily migrate all your data to Sugar.

What you need to do is to specify what data you need to migrate from GM to Sugar. At Apatar we successfully completed a number of projects migrating data from GM to Sugar. If you need our assistance, feel free to contact us.
