Export from Contacts list view

Sugar CRM Community Edition version 5.0.0.b

My list view under Contacts is customized to show name, address, city, state, and zip. I would like the Export function to only export these fields to the csv file so we can easily do a mail merge with Word. Is there a way to get the export to dump only those fields rather than every field in the database for that record? I'd hate to have to delete all the un-needed fields in the csv file each time.

We used to use Microsoft Sharepoint and that had the ability to export any view you created right to Excel. Maybe I am just confusing the intent of the export feature in Sugar.

You are not confusing the intent of the export feature, but it doesn't have the functionality you are needing. You would need to modify the Sugar code to get it to do that.

Hola Angel, quiero hacer eso que mencionas, tengo la vista lista de mis oportunidades y quiero solo exportar aquellos campos que estan visibles en el la vista lista, me puedes dar algun tip pra modificar el código. de antemano gracias...

Tendria que modificar create_export_query() dentro de Opportunity.php en <sugar>/modules/Opportunities para aplicar esa modificacion.

Para pder montar la consulta como sabes los campos que se están mostrando en la consutla.
Y por otra parte ¿Como se podría exportar a formato EXCEL?
