Export as CSV including custom fields?

Hey board,

something that bugs me for while now:

Exporting lets say "Contacts" from list view right now: all it does is shoveling all the standard fields into the CSV file.
Most of the times it would be more than useful to have the custom fields too, is there some standard way to achieve that?

My first try lead me to the "create_list_query" function in "contacts.php".

It feels not right for me (upgradesafeability and stuff) - but is this the way to go?

a quick repair brings back the custom fields into the export.
