exporting sugar settings and importing to other sugar crm

hi people,

how can I export settings from sugar crm (edited and new fields, labels, dashboard settings, charts) and import those to another sugar crm. i dont want to create those once again.
the first one is 4.5.1,and the second one is 4.5.1e.

and....

i have some dashboard charts in first one wich i also want to copy to another one. do I have to only copy php files from (\modules\Charts\code) in first one and paste them to (\modules\Charts\code) in second sugar crm?

Hi,

I would simply reload the entire CRM directory. Are the databases the same or do they have different info. If so then you may have some issues. Also, I have found it best to keep the versions the same. A lot less probl;ems.

databases are going to be the same.
the problem is that i cant reload cmr directory because its going to be again 4.5.1 version.
i must have a 4.5.1e version.

so... the database is not going to be the problem. the only problem is, how cann I copy dropdowns(wich I made) from 4.5.1 to 4.5.1e version.

have forgotten to ask...

if I update my old version of sugar 4.5.1 in wich Iv created 6-7 new dropdowns and textboxes, are these(dropdowns and textboxes) going to wanish(dissapier) after patching to 4.5.1e ???


please helppp. its very urgent.

Hi there,

If you used the Studio to create your custom fields, they should be "upgrade-safe" and will still be there after the upgrade.
