Exports disabled in 5.0f-5.1RC1

Hi Sugar Community,

I,m running Sugar Open Source 5.1RC1 on an ubuntu server. When i try to export datasets i get a page that only says "exports disabled". I have the same problem one a cloned system runnning under winXP. I followed this problem to an older cloned version back to 5.0f.

This export function is critical to our work so i would appreciate help greatly.

Also customization don't update after deployment (for example custom modules dont show up, or only do so after a few sessions). Sometimes customizations of listviews dont show up, sometimes they do. I was once able to export data after a change of a list actually did work, but the next day the export function again showed "exports disabled".

Has somebody an idea what the problem might be and how to fix it?

Hi,

First please check whether you have any roles set. Only there you can disable the export function per user. Then check system settings - there is a setting that disables exporting for "normal" users in general. Then try it as admin.

I personally do not believe in computers or sw programs doing "sometimes" this and "sometimes" that. It's usually one (or more) changed variable that causes such a behaviour.

However, you may want to have a serious discussion with the person who customizes your system and you may also want to revert back to a released version of Sugar.

I tried what you suggested. Neither export as admin worked, nor could i find any problem regarding access rights. I was not able to uncheck admin-only export under "locale settings".

However what did work is to manually set admin-only export to false in config_override.php. After doing so i was finally able to do any exports (as user and admin).

I'm happy that it worked finally.

But it's a bug in 5.1. I could reproduce it (5g is fine). You can change the admin export only to enabled but there is no way (except in config.php) to change it back. Will report a bug.
