Exports Off ?

Hello there,

I have a wonderful SugarCRM Community Edition (the open source one), working great
But anytime I try to do some "export", I have some kind of "Exports Disabled" over a blank page .

Does anyone know how to export data from SugarCRM ?

Today, I don't have any "roles".
do I have to set up at least one for the user who need export ?

I just set up a role now, and I can see that I have the "default" value for the column "Export" .
How can I know what means the default value for any modules (account, contact, ticket,...) ??

Hello again,

So I just went to "Role Management" and set up a new role "Role Export" for an user.
This "Role Export" switch the value for EXPORT.opportunities to "All"

But each time I tried to export any data from "ooportunities", I have
"Exports Disabled."

Any ideas ??

I suggest using Apatar ETL tool (open source). It will help you not only export data from SugarCRM, but also import data to it from any application or data base. There you may configure a connector for SugarCRM or a connector for data base you have at the back end of it. Then you will need to choose the fields you would like to export to your target source and run the process.

It will look like: SugarCRM connector (or DB connector) --> Transform operation --> Your target source.
Within Transform operation you will need to map fields from SugarCRM that you would like to export with the fields of your target.

That is it!

Very strange. No you do not need roles - please remove them. But run a repair roles in admin. Sometimes this routine solves these problems especially when there are no roles.
Did you install any other tools?

Hello MJ,

Go to Admin--> Locale Settings, and in the 'Export Settings' section, there are 2 checkboxes:
Disable Export
Admin Export Only

If 'Disable export' is checked, then uncheck it.
If 'Admin export only' is checked, and the user who is trying to export data is not an admin user, then this would explain why.
