Default Bug with Activites when editing scheduled calls

    SugarCRM CE 5.0.0.B

Since upgrading to 5.0.0.b, we are having a very perplexing performance problem that I feel is due to a bug when editing a scheduled call. The server was lightning quick on 4.5.1 and it is a perfectly capable box.

Let's say a user has a scheduled call and they need to change the time it occurs. They go to the Activities tab and they click on the pencil to edit the call and change the time. Once they do that, their name appears up to eight times in the Scheduling portion of the screen. When they save it, it takes a few minutes to save since I assume it is processing scheduling times. from that point on, any time they edit this same call, the names remain and it takes upwards of three minutes to save the call. Is this a known bug with 5 and is there any workaround or fix for it? It did not occur in 4.5.1.

Here is a screenshot of a scheduled call that shows the multiple listings for one single user.

This only seems to happen if they edit a call to change the date and/or time. It occurs in IE and Firefox.

    Addendum:
I think I see why it is showing multiple names now. If they change a date/time, it will make a new call in the Activities list view rather than show one edited call. If I edit a call six times, it will have six line items in list view but all will show the most recent edit. If i delete one of the six from list view, it trashes them all. Here is a screen of multiple entries in list view. Like I said, if I delete one of them, it deleted them all.

For whatever reason, in 5.0.0.b, if you edit a scheduled call, it will make a new duplicate entry rather than keeping one edited entry.

I am also experiencing the problems you have described above and went through the same debugging steps as well. I was thinking it has to do with the virtual calendar(vcal). Currently I have 22 users and only 1 who complains about it taking over 90 seconds to save a call. In comparison to other accounts, his "vcal" is much larger than others. Since this page extensively uses the vcal functionality I can only assume this has something to do with it. Look through your sugarcrm database, under the vcals table and tell me if this is something you are also seeing. I would like to rule out my theory if it is or isn't the cause.

Also, I have experienced a similar issue with "delete 1 you delete them all". We did a mass import of leads(aprox 2643), then later removed the same leads. The next day sales people were complaining that half or all their leads are missing. Drilling it down there was over 9,000 leads missing(not including imported). Repairing this was a nightmare and having to back track what gets modified in the sugar tables was a headache. I reported this as bug but even for a paying customer I didn't receive the help I needed. I still can't guarantee that some parts in our sugar are valid after that had occurred and I was hoping this issue we are both having wasn't something triggered by our mass deletion.
