Does anyone know if the following is possible...
We have a number of varying products and services, and each has varying types of information that is important to making the sale. With that said, I don't want to overwhelm sales people with my opportunities containing tons and tons of fields, that they may or may not need to populate for a given opportunity they are working.
Ideally, I want to only show certain fields when they are relevant to the opportunity. I would identify this by opportunity type. So for discussion sake, lets say I have a pet store (I apologize in advance for this lame example but I am a little low on creativity today)....
If someone is interested in buying a fish, I would select "fish" as my opportunity type. When that is selected I would then see field to identify "type of water" with values for fresh or salr. Now if my opportunity type was "dog", I wouldn't see the "type of water" field, but may see fields to identify if the dog has it's papers, is house broken and so on.
I would like to use this same logic in other modules as well like campaigns, tasks, accounts, and so on. I feel that keeping the interface simpler by only showing relevant info is going to increase user adoption in all these various areas.
Does anyone know if this is possible?
