Field length issue in Company detail

Running into an issue where if an industry is beyond a certain length, it will show up as blank in the company detail.

You can see part of it in the company list, but the detail page shows it as blank.

Is there a way to increase the size of the display field? Or is there a non-enforced max length for Industry name (or all drop downs)?

You can use custom code to increase the length of a field into form.
