Default Fields available in Account Layout (lack of)

Need Help: Can someone tell me how to add some of the system fields available in Leads to Accounts?
I would like to add First Name and Last Name to Accounts > Edit View.

Some very necessary fields are not available in the Accounts > Layout > Edit View.

I can understand if the custom fields don't transfer/convert from Leads to Accounts.

I don't understand why the default fields (the vast majority of them) are not available in Studio to add to the Edit View. For example, the contact name isn't available. You can see the contact name in Detailed View. Why wouldn't you have this visible in Edit View.

Accounts are more important in the hierarchy but it has less fields available. Does not make sense.

    The reason:

    Accounts module: means a Company
    Contacts module: means a Person

I believe both are self explained.
If you really want to create Person fields into Accounts module you need to review your concepts:
Are you talking about a real Company or a Person?

I understand the concept of company and person.

Working in Detail View for Accounts contains all of the necessary information. Yes, I agree.

However, I'm surprised that at least the default fields are not included in the Studio editing for Accounts. Many of our salespeople like to work in Edit View due to the volumne of calls made and the ability to quickly update information within the Lead or Account.

Our process may not be the exact Surgar way of doing things, but we consider Leads as "come and go - who cares" but when a salesperson wants to protect a Lead they convert it into an Account (they've found a contact name or have a call back, etc.). When they are in Edit View they want to see contact names, etc.
