Format email template

Hi, i want to use a custom template for sending emails. But iam unable to find where can i modify the template.
Hope sugarcrm is using a default template for mails, where can i find it and change according to my needs ?

Are you talking about the email notification template file?

Have a look at this file: include/language/en_us.notify_template.html

I also need to know from where we can call this template and add email attributes as per our requirement or to add whole togather a different function. Is there any way is there that we can use to use this template while sending a custom mail.
