Default Forums Module Install error - No Mode Specified

    Running Sugar 4.51a. IIS5, MySql 4.12, php4.4.4
Trying to install Sugar Forums module (forumsModule-OS-4.5.1.zip)
The file has been uploaded into Sugar.
When clicking on the Install button, the page returns a message "No Mode Specified".
Any ideas why this is happening instead of a successful install?

Got past the "No mode specified" by loosening file permissions on the Sugar directory.

Now installing the Forums mod gives this error at 25% loading:
    "Failed to copy C:/Inetpub/wwwroot/SQmailNuts/src/sugar/cache/upload/
    upgrades/temp/B7E.tmp/images/Default/images themes/Awesome80s/images"

I looked at the Manifest.php file and the path to install theme files is correct there..don't know where this part of the path is coming from:
    /images themes/Awesome80s/images
The space after the first images in the path is odd...I can't find where the mod install is getting that.

    Any ideas?

I ended up editing manifest.php within the tmp file in the Cache dir prior to hitting the Commit button on the module install to rem out the themes section and the install went through.
Added the images to Themes dirs manually and all works fine now.

For me, the ultimate solution seems to be to grant all permissions to the Sugar site (I'm running IIS on Windows, so that means Full Control) to the IIS Web Account for the website).
The module loader needs write and delete permissions.
Once I did that it worked...but make sure you delete the temp files on your Internet Explorer after making the changes or it may not seem to change anything due to IE holding onto previous pages in it's cache.

    Hi there,

I have the same issue with my installation, i have done as you directed, but still no resolution to the error. The Installation i have is as follows:
    Sugarcrm Pro 5.1.0c
    Apache 2.2.9
    PHP 5.2.6

Am trying to install synolia photo patch to add photo functionailty to my modules, but it stops at the module loader after the upload file part.

I have gone through the file sugarcrm folder/modules/administration/upgrade_prepare.php and that is where it fails where it checks for $_REQUEST['mode'], i dont know what this is, does anyone have any idea
