get Error:Bad search filter

The settings of ldap are as follows:


server:xx.xx.xxxx
portnumber:389
basedn: dc=aa,dc=bb,dc=ccc
bind attribute:cn
login attribute: userprincipalname
AuthUser : userPrincipalName
AuthPwd : pwd
AutoCreateUsers: Checked(yes)
Encryption key:blank


Can some one plz help....as to why am i getting this error! [/SIZE] [/SIZE]

What version and OS are you using?

What caused the error. Be more descriptive! LDAP setting ok nice, Why do you think this has anything to do with your error.

Please be more precise and descriptive. With that we may be able to help!

ok,
The php version I am using is PHP Version 5.2.4,
OS is windowsXP on which I have sugarcrm running the version of sugar is latest stable version(SugarCE-Full-5.0.0e),
The OS on which ldap is there is, Windows 2000 Server and we are using microsoft exchange server
and when I pass the same credentials to Ldapsoft --ldap admin tool , its fetching the results
but coming to sugar crm after specifying all the details stated before I get the error as
Error: Bad search filter.
I have no ideas as to why I am getting this error.
so plz help.
