Giving clients limited access

Is there anyway to give clients limited access to sugar open source to strictly view only tasks status related to their work?

Hi,

You can do this with the Roles module. Give the clients read only access to tasks that are assigned to them. Each of the clients should be assigned "Direct Reports" to somebody in your organisation.

Yeah, admin can restrict the views and other actions on the modules by creating Roles for them. This would help you either: http://sugarcrm.openapp.org/?p=113

PHP reports errors to us when we try to use roles. Has for a few versions now. Hopefully you will have more luck.

Open source 4.2 installed. I get it that in the roles you change access to different modules. The problem is that there isn't a report module that is separte to set role access.

In the Sugar Admin Panel I can either make a table like Reports visiable system wide or turn it off.

How do I give limited access to the Reports tab so that only managers have the ability to report on, there isn't a single visibility setting specific to a role or team in this area?
