Default Global search not finding a Lead "Account"

    Hi,

When using the global/full text search it does not find a Lead when searching on the Account field e.g.

Last name of Lead = Coleman
    Account of Lead = Macfarlanes

Searching on Coleman finds the Lead record, searching on Macfarlanes does not.

    Is this correct?

    Regs....David.

It does work. Just checked it on 5.1c (using demo data - search e.g. for T-cat).

There was a bug but I believe it was already fixed in 5.1b. Not sure though.

    Hi David,

i tested 5.1b -- if the lead is attached to an account in the accounts module, then this account will appear when you search for it in the global search. If the Account name in the leads module is just typed in and the lead is not physically attached to an account in the Accounts module, then this record will only appear via the global search when you are searching on the leads module. This makes sense since the Account Name field in the leads module is just a text field that exists in the leads module, and not an actual account (since the record does not exist in the accounts module, it would not appear when you search on the accounts module)
