    Default Gmail causes Internal server error

    I'm running Sugar 4.5.1, and I've been able to get an imap email account working fine. However, gmail doesn't. When I hit "check mail" I get an internal server error 500.

    I've gone through past posts that discuss issues with ssl/tls,a nd have things set properly.

    Are there any PHP or other server settings that I need to check? I see that other folks are having luck with gmail, so it must be possible, right?

    Hi Steve!

    if you want to use gmail you have to configure your Sugarcrm email account with advanced settings
    you have to click on "Show Advanced" link and after that check on checkbox "Use SSL" after that you have to write your gmail data (i mean user name and password and server name).

    If you still have some problems you can try our demo installation for testing your email.

    Thanks for the reply. I'd read through the archives and found the notes about the advance settings and the "Use SSL" checkbox. It's checked, but I still get a sever error after a long delay.

    Hi,
    Gmail settings for sugar is not consistent. For some server the same settings works and for some identical server it does not. I am sure there are some issues with sugar and gmail.
