Gmail not working on siteground hosting

I tested GMail apps account on sugarcrm 4.51b on my local machine but when I moved it to hosting site I am not able to configure GMail account as it does not receive the response from gmail server. It gives me Time out error when I try to test the setting. It will not allow me to save the setting with SSL checked giving Not able to connect to server error. I talked with siteground support and he says that he is able to ping the gmail server fine. Can some one tell me what extra port or setting has to be changed on firewall so that this starts working.

I hope that you would have searched a lot about this particular issue, not sure why Sugar guys are not plunging in to take us out of this bug.

Once I tried to configure my inbound email settings and it was done but after that it never happened. I followed the steps mentioned here: http://sugarcrm.openapp.org/?p=158
