Godaddy Shared Hosting Email IMAP Problems

I am trying to set up emails but I get this message:
"Inbound Email cannot function without the IMAP c-client libraries enabled/compiled with the PHP module. Please contact your administrator to resolve this issue."

I know in previous posts others have said IMAP is not an option with Deluxe shared hosting with Godaddy but I called today and they said it should work. Of course it is not working. My programmer who installed this for me is not sure what to do either.

Does anyone have any up to date info on this issue. If it is possible to enable this or am I just spinning my wheels here. I looked at Outlander plug in but support seems to be an issue these days.

really need to be able to send emails with Sugarcrm at least but switching to a Virtual or Dedicated Server seems like such a pain since I have a few sites and the money difference doesn't really make sense either.

I would greatly appreciate any insight you can offer!

Were you ever able to resolve this problem? I just did a SugarCRM install today on our GoDaddy shared server and am in the same boat as you.

For some it got fixed, not for me

Also in that file there is 5x a reference to that SE_NOPREFETCH+SE_UID, I've replaced all, but no luck.

Spend a nice day browsing, debugging, what ever. Frustrated
