    Default good crm structure

    Hello,

I've been using SugarOS for a while now, and I wonder if i'm using it right.

I create an account for each company i do business with. For that account I create one or more contacts. When I receive email, Sugar automatically links it to a contact.

Now here comes the issue. If I only create an account and no contact, Sugar does not link it to an account (even with an email specified in the account). If i don't have a contactperson yet, but just a generic email for an account, why can't Sugar just link it to the account?

    Regards,
    Glen

When a company is in your account list, you should do business with them (now or soon). So you must have a contact. If you just know that company of driving by or yellow pages or what so ever, it's more a target.

But you are saying that you receive e-mail from a company with-out a contact.... so then you have a contact at that point, just use the create contact in quick create.... is simple.

I also use Accounts for businesses that have multiple office locations and use Member of to link to the main office of the same business.
