I'm evaluating products, and I've heard so much good about SugarCRM. It seems like a great and powerful tool, but with great power comes great complexity. After spending several hours with Sugar, I'm still not sure if it can do what I need, so here's the scenario:
I'm looking for a system that does a few things:
1) Allows managers to assign tasks to subordinates. Subordinates should not be able to see the manager's tasks, or those of the other subordinates.
2) Managers should be able to see the progress of all their subordinates, preferably in some sort of chart.
3) Recurring tasks should regenerate every day, or at a given time. For example, if Bob starts at 8:00, his tasks should be generated with due date/time based on 8:00, while Joe starts at 12:00, so his tasks should generate from 12:00.
So, can SugarCRM do this?
At this point it's mostly task management, but I do see that in the future the customer relationship stuff will be more valuable, just not right now. If sugarCRM can do this, it would be great, so everything can stay in one system.
