Google Base (email) into SugarCRM Open Source

I currently use thunderbird with the Asertiva extension to put emails (manually) into SugarCRM open source without actually getting into SugarCRM open source.

I am thinking about switching my domain from the host server to google base/gmail so that I have a gmail login to get into my email but when I sent emails it actually sends from my domain. It uses gmail's interface and technology and Googles servers.

Is there anyway to like BCC a copy of the email into my SugarCRM open source to go into the appropriate contact or like a third party application to do this?

What about a Firefox plugin? Try DolceGmail (on sugarforge). it makes it possible to archive email and create contacts directly from Gmail.
