We have been having some trouble with the group email in SugarCRM CE 5.5.1. Our two issues are:
1) The Group email is available to all users?
The admin creates a new "Inbound email" and there is no option if itīs a group or personal email. By default, all emails created with the "Monitor New Mail Account" are group emails. It would be great if the admin could assign the inbound email to a specific Role (Group) or User.
Now, all inbound emails that are created by the admin in the "Monitor New Mail Account" can be viewed by all users. I would like to have letīs say a Support group email, that ONLY Users in the Role "Support" can see.
2) We can no longer send emails with a Group email
For 2 days everything was fine regarding incoming/outgoing mail in the Support group email. But then yesterday we could no longer send emails. The error was an SMTP error and the SugarCRM log had this to say:
We did not make any changes to Settings or the SugarCRM code. So why would is all of a sudden not be able to authenticate? We tried using telnet from the SugarCRM server to connect with the SMTP server and port and the connection was open. We tested sending/receiving with a different PHP mailer and there everything was fine, so this was not the provider that had issues.SugarPHPMailer encountered an error: SMTP Error: Could not authenticate.
SugarPHPMailer encountered an error: SMTP Error: Could not connect to SMTP host
Any comments or help on the above would be great.
