    Default Group Inbox refreshing delay in 5.1.0 GA

    Hi,

    I've got a question about the time delay between the reception and it being displayed into group inbox.

    I've got a crontab set up to monitor inbound mail every 3 minutes. I send a test mail and wait for 10 minutes. I confirm in the debug log that the email was received. When I go to the Email module, it doesn't show up in the group IMAP inbox.

    The email only appears after I wait on the page for the "Check for New Mail:" delay set in "Preferences" (set to Every 5 minutes). It only appears after I wait ON that page, if I go about my business doing something else with Sugar, the email will never appear.

    That is a big big problem. I cannot afford to wait on the email page for 5 minutes every time I want to check if new emails have arrived...

    Is this really the intended behaviour !??

    Hi,
    I just tried it and it works. If you run the cron job, then all the new mails will be put int he group mail account. ALl you have to do is make sure that the schedular has run the cron job. If there is a failure at the schedular level and cron was not run then it will not work. Can you send me some info from the log files ??

    Thanks for the reply. Unfortunately, I reverted back to 5.0.0g, so I don't have logs handy.

    But, I did get an error message in the log having something to do with the scheduler. When going to Admin->Schedulers, I got this error message:
    [FATAL] Error fetching relationship from cache schedulers_created_by
    When querying the Relationships table, I see a "schedulers_created_by_rel" entry, but not the one from the error message. More info on this can be found in this thread.

    Plus, my cron job seemed to hang from time to time, not always, but sometimes for 5-10 minutes, it stalled and nothing happened.

    Was your 5.1.0 GA install a fresh install or an upgrade ? Do you see the "schedulers_created_by" relationship or the "schedulers_created_by_rel" one ?
