Grouping Contacts and searching on the groups

I am very new to this so any help would be greatly appreciated.

My boss would like to create several groups/categories for contacts, then be able to search on them is this possible? if yes how would i go about doing this?

Using SugarCE-Full-5.2.0k if it helps

Or is there a standard feature that i am missing to see, to search on the contacts/prospects by a group
