Default Has anyone succeeded with trackers?

I have read the manual, scanned the forums and the only thing I get is 'Opens' and that only if it does not get flagged as 'phishing message' which it invariably does.

Currently, I use Groupmail and that works no problems but it involves retyping. I would like to do it all from SugarCRM, Can someone point me to step by step instructions please.

    Thanks

but linked workd OK ie when clicked opened our website.

    Sent 'Unsubscribe[/COLOR]'
    arrived as : http://127.0.0.1:80/sugarcrm/index.php?entryPoint=campaign_trackerv2&track=2497 c6e4-36a4-1b7b-87b3-4c14185c7f9d&identifier=a10f98fe-5f77-b0d3-5acc-4c1419ace362

Check your server settings, the trackers are pointing back to your local domain (127.0.0.1).

Check the config.php for changing this value. and how are you creating the trackers? post the procedure being followed.

Your webserver must be visible to the outside world, an internal address sent out by a clicked link won't reach your Sugar installation and thus can't be properly accounted for. There are a few ways how you can achieve that:

    1. Put Sugar on a server that is visible (use e.g a DNS service)
    2. Punch a hole into your firewall and forward the requests (changes of config.php required)
    3. Put only the needed parts on a server visible to the world, you will find some descriptions in the forum and I believe also in the wiki.

    Thanks everyone for the replies.

Create tracker in Campaign Wizard. I have got CRM installed on my PC. Tried installing on to public_html directory on ISP's server but all I get is corrupted format. Other than the search box everything else appears as text with hyperlinks. All the formatting appears as if the browser was incapable of showing graphics. My ISP reckons it's my scripts. However, for some reason every so often link to Dtabase breaks down as well - claiming wrong passwords; been told it was point to the wrong database.

Plus, I am concerned about service levels. At least on my own PC I backup the whole folders and I am not hugely technical.

Is there a kosher way of intalling it on ISP's server where our website is hosted.

I used the Zip file (about 14Mb) for SugarCRM 5.5.3. This uses ISP's Apache Server, PHP server and MySQL. Could I install the stacked version on to ISP's sever or is that a dumb thought?

    Thanks in Advance.
