Has anyone tried using Sugar with PHP 5.3?

It looks like PHP 5.3 might be the answer to the memory leaks we're experiencing when using SugarBeans and we'd like to upgrade to PHP 5.3 without waiting until it'll be officially supported (probably with 5.5 at the earliest). Has anyone tried using PHP 5.3 with any version of Sugar and what was your experience with it? Would you say that its completely safe and bug free or that you had some issues or that it was completely unstable?

A handful of folks on these forums have posted problems installing as well as error messages when attempting to use it with 5.3.

The severity of the problems is unknown, but it definitely has some compatibility issues.

Can you give me some links to what others who've tried PHP 5.3 are saying, searching for '5.3' returns no results.

For what it is worth, my experience in the last 24 hours of server config hell is, do not bother even trying. 5.3 fails miserably with internal server errors. 5.2.6 works perfectly.
