    Default Having Trouble w/ Outgoing Email

    doesn't seem to matter whether I use SMTP settings or sendmail... my outgoing mail is not being sent... I dont get any errors at the time of send... the emails are properly filed in the sent email folder... but they are not delivered.

    Incoming is fine however...

    anyone know what may be up?

    First and formost are you in a shared hosting environment? Most Shared hosting has security locked down to prevent spammers from abusing the servers. They block outgoing ports and may not offer sendmail which do not allow you to send email from your installation.

    I am having the same trouble. I am in Shared Hosting environment, and tried using both Sendmail and SMTP. Neither of them worked. I do not get any error, but the emails are not getting delivered. I am able to get inbound emails. Any help will be much appreciated.
