Default Help with Built in module "Assigned To:"

    Hi,
I am having trouble with the built in module "Assigned To:" which can be found in the DetailView of Leads, Accounts, Contacts, etc. I noticed that in the DetailView.html file that the Assigned To: module has disappeared in the Edit Layout editor. It turns into a flat line in the editor.

I tried to fix this problem by copying the html code from the working pages and inserting it into the proper slot, and this seems to work. However, once i reenter the admin page and I save and publish the Detailview, the "Assigned To:" module will revert back to working incorrectly.

If anyone out there knows how to help me, I would greatly appreciate it!

I recently upgraded from 4.2.0b to 4.5.0 if that information helps.

    Thanks,

    -Vince

I may be way off, but from the little reading I've done this is what I've gathered:

Studio uses 'draft' files as you edit the layout. When you save the layout changes I believe Studio
then uses the modified draft file to overwrite the actual working file.

You are manually editing the working file, but then go into Studio which uses the draft file you have not editted.
Thus, you don't see the changes you've done in the working file.

Again, I maybe COMPLETELY wrong. But decieded to chim in for a quick response that I know I appreciate getting.

    Rey,

    Thanks for the quick reply!

I understand what you are saying with the draft files that studio uses. Is there a way that i can modify the draft file so studio will accept the changes I made? Is the DetailView.html.sbk file the draft file you are referring to?

Again thanks for the quick response!
