Help Exporting a Package from Dev instance

Hi,

I created a new package in my DEV instance. This Package includes two new modules. I created my required fields and layouts in the Module Builder and I deployed it. I then had to edit vardefs to include fields that I have already created for other Modules that I need it the new modules. I also added custom javascript file that is called from my editviewdefs.php. I made all my changes directly to the modules files /modules/**** and not the custom directory....

But when I then publish the package the cahnges I manually made are not carried out. How do I include this custom work in the .zip so all the extra stuff, the javascript etc.. can be included in the zip file.

I think I found the solution can someone correct me if I'm wrong here.

When I add new files and edit the vardefs I just have to add the new files to the published zip file adn edit the manifest file.
