I am trying to understand how the email campaigns are meant to work. They seem to be functionlng as intended, but I just don't understand the reasoning.
If I make an email campaign and set it up to to be active from now until two months from now, add my target list and make a new Email Marketing entry and send messages from that email marketing entry all goes well. If I make another entry it will send that as well. If I want a day and try again, it will pretend to it, but in fact do nothing and will never do anything again unless I duplicate that campaign or make an entirely new one. Also, duplicating does not duplicate much of the campaign so there is a very subtle difference between making a new one from scratch and duplicating an existing campaign tha thad been working, but for whatever reason is not capable of working past one day - even though the campaign is still active and within the date range specified.
Prior to 4.0, this was not the case and I sent all my messages through the same campaign and it gave me a full historical record of all send messages, who read the messages, etc. Now I can only see that by going to each individual duplicated campaign.
Perhaps this is the best way to deal with this and I need to have it explained to me so I grasp it fully.
