    Default Help installing SugarCRM

    Hi all,

I have just come to review SugarCRM, and I have decided that I would like to install it on my hosted web server.

Now I have come to read the instructions and all looked fairly straight forward, that is until I attempted the install!

I have a hosted web server and an unused domain name, therefore I dropped the SugarCRM files into this folder and uploaded then to the FTP folder. I'm now not sure how to access the Install file via this command: http://localhost/SugarSuite-Full_4.5.0 and if I do use the following I get an error message. I have looked through the server requirements and it would appear that I have all on the web server, therefore could soneone shed some light on this for me.

Due to my being new to such installs then more than likley I'm doing something wrong.

    Many thanks

If you are accessing SugarCRM on the web server from a remote machine you'll need to use the IP or domain name of the machine instead of localhost. If you are accessing SugarCRM from the web server then you'll want to make sure that your web server is configured properly. Which web server and OS are you using?

first find the apache or IIS that is running and then use that directory to install sugarCRM source files in the directory for your webserver. Talk to your hosting company about where this is on your server. They should be able to help you with that information.
