Default Help with language pack installation

    OS 4.5.1d
    Win XP
Apache, MySQL (installed new from 4.5.1d stack)

In the module loader, having selected the UK language pack zip file, when I click on the Install button the screen updates but the section where it normally says, 'successfully installed' is completely blank with no message. All I see are the shortcuts, tabs etc... The installation is not performed.

I have previously installed other modules successfully. these are listed in the list of installed modules when first accessing the module loader.

    any ideas anybody?

    Thanks for your advice Markku

This seems to be a long drawn out process frought with potential mistypes etc... There must be an easier way or reason for the issue.

The Module loader has been working fine for other installs. I have searched trhough the LOGs and the only thing i have found which may help is in the apache error.log

    C:\\Inetpub\\wwwroot\\sugarcrm\\htdocs\\sugarcrm\\ cache\\upload\\upgrades\\temp\\25.tmp\\manifest.ph p on line 18, referer: http ://127.0.0.1:3307/sugarcrm/index.php?module=Administration&action=UpgradeWiza rd&view=module
A line similar to this one is created each time I attempt to INSTALL the lang file

Trying to determine what manifest.php is attempting to do it might be due to the lang file thinking that my system is not on 4.5.1.d (which it is). Is there anyway to check if this version stamp is on all the necessary file/tables etc...

Safe Mode is OFF in php.ini

Ok. It seems the problem must be to do with the language pack since the module loader is working fine with any other install. I'll go back to the developer of the language pack

    Hi,

It definitely IS the language pack. I had (have) the same problems with the German language pack. Unfortunately I didn't find the time yet to investigate the reason but I am almost sure it was install/language/xx_xx.lang.php. I used the original (us) file, renamed it and it worked.
