Help needed for payment gateway

[SIZE=5]We are using Sugar CRM 5.0 RC and inorder to implement the orders module payment prcess ,used the cyberauthorize.net payment gateway.

The questions are:

1.How to validate the credit card details in Cyerauthorize.Net without a transaction.Is this possible?Since for trail products only Credit card details are need to be verified.If Credit Card(CC) details are not able to verified without transaction amount,any PHP algorithm will do this help?

2.What are the transaction status will be returned by Cyberauthorize.Net after a transaction?

OR will it possible to code in the gateway based on our requirement?[/SIZE]

I know this wasn't the issue you raised, but you really should consider moving on to the latest patch of Sugar 5.0 (or 5.1)... you're on RC, which means "Release Candidate", which isn't recommended for production use.

I have an answer for you but it would mean using our GoToBilling Plug instead of your current gateway. Our company has a plugin that will work with Sugar that does verify the card number upon entry without doing a transaction. Let me know if you are interested and I can set you up with a free test account to see what you think of it. We can gateway to your existing merchant account without any problems.

Also, our plugin allows you to process ACH/electronic check transactions.
