HELP Needed urgently! Cannot add collumn to detailview subpanel of contracts module

I have a question regarding Sugar CRM 4.5.1g.

I installed the 'Contracts' module and it works fine. I added some custom fields to it and this also works fine.

However, at this point I have been unable to add some of these custom fields to the 'detail view' contracts subpanel.

So my question is: how can I add columns to the contracts detailview subpanel. Note: I have tried to use studio for adding these custom fields in the subpanel, but they don't show up in the subpanel.

Can anybody please help me, I'm totally lost here, boss is breathing in my neck.

This sounds like a file permissions issue, but would need more information to diagnose.

1. What happens when you try to add the custom field via Studio? does the field show up?

2. If you are able to see the field via Studio AND add it to the Detail panel AND save it, then I would check the file permissions on the DetailView.html file in modules\Contracts.

3. If the field does not show up in Studio, I would use the Admin functions to Clear Cache and then see if it shows up.
