    Default HELP!!! Outgoing SMTP campaign emails not being sent in SugarCRM OSS 4.2.0d

    Please Help - no SMTP emails are being sent in SugarCRM - either using the Send Test feature or via the scheduler.

    Please can a very kind SugarCRM member help with investigating this problem as I'm quite close to abandoning even though I've put in quite a lot of time to get it running so far. It's dead in the water for me at the moment.

    I'm using:
    SugarCRM version 4.2.0d
    MAC OS X ..... 10.4.6
    PHP 5.1.4-5
    Apache 1.3.33
    MySQL 5.0.21

    After sending campaign emails, if I go to the outgoing email queue (Admin -> Outbound Email Queue Management) emails are listed there with these values:

    Send Attempts = 1
    In Process = Checked

    Also if I force the outgoing email queue using "Send Queued Campaign Emails", the email status changes from:
    Send Attempts = 0
    In Process = 0

    to:

    Send Attempts = 1
    In Process = Checked

    I'm not sure what "Checked" means.

    There is no information in the debug log relating to outgoing mail either.


    When I check the target email account there has been no email sent - I have double & triple checked the SMTP settings and they are correct for my account. I've tried and tried many times to get the email sent - but nothing is coming out.

    I've set the same SMTP information everywhere (SugarCRM login account, system-wide and in the group that is used by the inbound mailbox). I've also tried using IP address everywhere of my mail host rather than the domain name.

    But SugarCRM absolutely refuses to send any outgoing SMTP mail.


    The debug output from running emailmandelivery.php (with mail in the outgoing queue) is:

    I've checked the "emailman" table in the database and there is a row in there.

    Default email management is not working

    i send an email marketing to 350 persons and only 150 persons recieved it.
    also i had in my inbox 37 failure notice but i dont see that in the campaign status.
    what hapened with that?
    what can i do to sent the rest of the mails?, they appears in the Manage Email Queue, but i cant send it.
    please help me!!!
    i need to see the campaign status with the complete information.

    hi:
    i watched in manage email queue the list of "send queue campaign emails" and on "send attempts" the number was 3.
    so what i did was deleted that list and deleted the campaign and created again and sent the same mail, so there were some leads that recieves twice the same mail, and some other, recieves just once.
    anyway when i watched the campaign status there is no one in the list of bounced messages, and i need that information.

    Angry Outgoing Campaign Emails not being sent in SugarCRM OSS 4.2.0d

    In general I am having problems with mass emailing. The administrator guide is very confusing. I am receiving inbound emails ok, but I canot seem to properly configure the system to send emails from a campaign. I configured the System Admin Scheduler as described in the guide. Do I need set up another Windows Schedule Task? The one for Inbound emails seem to work fine. Does this task handle both Inbound and Campaigns? If not, what are the details I need to include in another batch tile?

    Just want to say I have similar results on email campaign. Then I try to just send out emails, to three different email addresses. First time I got 2 out of 3, second and third time I got only 1 out of three. Then I try to send email to individual accounts, still only got one of of three. That's really bad. If I use other email client (like Outlook, Gmail), it works fine.

    No error in sugar.log. The statuses of all the emails are all "sent".

    John, I have the same problem that you describe.

    My emails are in the "Manage Email Queue" and are stuck there.

    Any luck since your last post ?

    SMTP is an unreliable transport for sending emails it is best to use a relay server that is fast at accepting emails or use sendmail. many email servers now introduce delays in accepting emails. The sugarCRM is not configured to handle delays. These delays are set up to stop spamer softare that does not pay attention to these delays. SugarCRM is not capable of delays for every email sent. It is best to have the emails sent to a local SMTP email server to process the emails for you.

    Ok so my emails are in the "Outbound Email Queue" because my ISP SMTP server is too slow ? Or there is delays ?

    But why it's working in the Email module... but not in the Campaign module ? What is different between these two modules ?
