    Question Help with Outlook Plugin

    (SugarPro 6.2.3 - on premise)

We are having some issues with Calendar integration between Outlook and Sugar.

With emails, within Outlook with the SugarOutlook plugin, we are able to:

    - search, from within Outlook, the Sugar Contacts and Leads databases to populate the To: and CC: fields.
    - archive emails to selected Sugar records based on the plugin listing relevant records based on email addresses in the To: and CC: fields.

We would like to be able to do exactly the above with Outlook meetings as well, but the plugin does not seem to support that. Anyone got any suggestions for working around this?

We're not keen on sync'ing Contacts from Sugar back to Outlook all the time. This is because most of our CRM contacts will be generated from converting leads in the CRM, not from entry into Outlook and pushing into CRM. There is also an issue of having to set the Sync to Outlook flag automatically for Contacts created from a lead conversion see other post: http://www.sugarcrm.com/forums/f6/ho...28/#post265078

Currently, the plan is to use Outlook as the main calendar for the org as not everyone will have Sugar and its calendar is not great anyway. But it's key for Sales guys to archive Outlook meetings against relevant records in the CRM e.g Opportunities, Contacts etc. But it's proving v. difficult for me to set up easy ways of doing it.

Any help would be really appreciated.

    Cheers.

    Thanks

Not sure of you question. Yes the Outlook plugin can sync meetings and calls in Outlook.
