Help with primary addresses please

Hi,
We want to be able to enter contacts without the account defaults overriding certain fields. For instance if I enter a contacts primary address and phone it defaults back to the accounts listing when being saved. As you may well know some accounts may have a corporate address and phone but there sales people may work out of different locations with different addresses and phone numbers all together. I read one post that offered a disabling feature but the process wasn't completely clear. Can someone please offer assistance in disabling this feature?

Tom,

What version are you using because it doesn't behave the way you describe on the version I'm using (5f). When I create an account, it does copy the address in as a default, but any changes I make get saved.
