Help removing dashlets / remove hometab

Hi All,

Are have started using sugar open source and just wondering is there is a option to turn of (hide or do not display home section as we dont want dashlets showing.

Hi,

Check the Admin section. There you can define what tabs to show. Additionally you can remove dashlets and set an option for users not to change the homepage.

Not to change homepage: System Settings
Tabs: Configure Tabs

Strange thing is when i am in system settings i cannot change any settings it allows me to but wont save them ..
any idea why it would be doing that.

Assuming you run Linux I would check my Sugar directory for its proper permissions. Usually you need the whole tree owned by a web user and chmoded to 755. That normally does the trick.
Re. system settings specifically: check the permissions of config.php or config-override.php in the Sugar root.
