Post Help Required to send pre-scheduled email campaigns

I have been trying to pre-schedule campaign email messages so that they will automatically send to our users on a monthly basis. We can generate manual email campaigns if they are dated with today's date or previously but cannot send anything automated with a future date. We are using the Free Community edition and wondered if this feature isn't available with this version.

Not sure I follow, could you outline exactly what you do in the setup and sending of the campaign? How does the system stop you from doing what you want to do? Is there an error message or is it a disable control or something like that?

Hi - I am following the campaign process flow exactly. I set up the email for instance to send out tomorrow and run until Thursday or I set it up to begin today and end tomorrow. Once scheduled and queued. Nothing happens. The emails don't send but ... If I set up a campaign to begin last Monday for example and to end last Friday, the emails send. We just can't figure out why this is happenning.

Are you clicking the 'Send EMails' button at the top of the page? That puts the emails in the outbound queue.

Hi there - I have been clicking the send email button. Once I do this then I go to admin area and check the queued emails. The emails queue without any problems but if I queue emails today with a date to send tomorrow they won't send.

    Thanks
    Elaine

Is the Scheduler working / do you have a cron job set up on the server?
If the schedulers not running then the queue will never be processed
