Hide search block entirely from Documents list view

Would someone be able to advise me how to hide the search forms completely from the documents module? Thank you.

Hi Monica.

You need to create a custom view.list.php for Documents module and override the function 'display' to remove the SearchForm.

Is there a file in one of my other directories that I can copy and modify to accomplish this? Sorry I am new to this and just trying to teach myself.
