How to add a new column in list view

Hi,

I am new to sugar CRM.

I want to add a new column to any list view. What steps I have to follow to add new column?

For example I want email column in cases module list view. It should display email of selected account name.

Please help how this can be done.

goto admin>studio>module name>list view

drag and drop the column you wish to add

click save

job done

Yes, it should be that easy. Works like a charm for default modules.

Let's say you go through the steps for a custom module (created with Module Builder) and the UI feedback indicates all is well. It shows properly in Studio, no errors in the log. Even ran a Repair and tried Dev Mode on & off. Changes do not show. The file listviewdefs.php in the custom metadata dir is correct, but it isn't being read somehow.

In working to reproduce the problem, I'm finding that it works in one instance, yet not in 2 others!!! These are current copies!

Any ideas?
