Default How to attach a directory containing multiple files under "Documents"

    Dear all,

I have to upload about 50 files a day onto Sugar. (Version 5.5.0 CE)
The only way that I can attach is doing it one by one under "Documents" module.
It is not possible to select multiple files simultaneously.
This is very time consuming and cumbersome.

I don't want to zip my files into a single file and upload.

Please let me know whether there is any possibility of attaching a complete directory (instead of files) containing multiple files under "Documents" module.

    Thank you.

    Best Regards,
    Berny

Thank you so much Cyril, I appreciate your reply.
I had a look at the link. Unfortunately the implementation is not very straightforward though.

    Thank you again,
    Best Regards,

I don't believe SugarCRM provides that kind of functionality. You could perhaps treat each file as a "revision" which would allow you to upload several files related to one record. Sometimes I upload both a MS Word and a Adobe PDF document to the same record. Both files are accessible for download, one is the latest/default download. Just an idea.

    Cheers

    Thank you jjwdesign,

My requirement is different. It is not attaching few multiple files for a given record, but attaching a large number of files. (may be 100 files)

If I am to attach 100 files, I will have to do it 100 times, which of course is extremely time consuming.

Therefore I am looking for a way to attach multiple files in a single go.

    Thanks again
    Berny

    Hi Berny,

The best solution for document management inside SugarCRM is to use the iNetProcess plugin to connect KnowledgeTree with your Sugar system.

We are both a KnowledgeTree and SugarCRM Gold Partner and can help you deploy this solution.

Please feel to call me in the US at 908 998 2278 or ping me on Skype (dtokeefe) to discuss your requirements.

Looking forward to hearing from you.

    Thank you David.

I apologize for the late reply.
I had a look at your demo, but still only one file at a time can be uploaded.

What I need is to upload multiple files simultaneously.

    Please guide me.

    Thanks & Regards
    Berny

    Hi Berny,

KnowledgeTree has desktop tools that allow you to drag and drop files and folders as if they were inside WIndows Explorer. These same files appear in SugarCRM when you use the iNetProcess KnowledgeTree plugin.

The demo only shows the web front-end.

The complete solution is really very practical and easy to use.

    Best regards,

    David
