how to attach modules to account

I am using Sugar for B2C and what to create a account and have the module that I built attach to it. For example, I want to be able to add all the liabilities on the new module "liabilities" and be able to see it when you view a particular account.

I am new....therefor I am assuming that this is done via relationships??????????? If so, how do I do it, I don't fully understand relationships....any help is much appreciated!

You are on the right track.

What you need is a 1:many relationship (seen from the account) - one account may have many liabilities wheras one liability has always only one account. If you create such Sugar will add a subpanel under accounts and a new field "account" in liabilities (to be positioned in Studio).

A 1:1 relationship creates a new field in both modules, a n:m creates two subpanels.

If you use a field type "relate" or "flex relate" instead you'll get a 1:n relation but without the subpanel.

Oops, forgot: All is done under admin - studio. If you use a lang pack other than English switch back to en_us before creating relationships.
