How to - Basic Search by Dates - Start and End user input

Hello,

I just came across a situation in which I need to allow the users to search the records of any module based of their created date (date_entered field in the database), but allowing them to manually input (a Date field) a start and end date from which to fetch results from.

Example: from 07/01/08 to 07/15/08

Since this isn't implemented into the stock sugar app (that I know of), hot then can I make it (or if you know some has) happen?

My guess that I would have to write SQL query somewhere in the app (where exactly) and modify it to accept the input from those custom fields (in the Basic & Advanced Search panels)???

Any ideas/suggestions welcome!

I think the Enhanced Search module on SugarForge lets you do this. I've heard good things about the module.
