How can I copy an existing module??

Can someone tell me how i can copy a module? I need a purchasing module and I would like to use something like cases to do it. Or possibly copying another module. Is it possible? I poked around Studio, Module builder but didn't find anything.

1) create a new package or use an existing
2) creating a new module in the package with template "issue" should create a module similar to cases

Thanks Stefan for the suggestion. After reading it I realized that I need something that I can add products into. I am using Aos Quotes & Products. I need to add products to a vendor so I can place an order. As I think about it now Cases would be the wrong module to base my needs on.
Any other ideas?
