How can I retreive a document?

My Sugar 5.2.0k installation is wasted, but I have a backup of my SQL database and all the files. I've tried re-installing it but it won't let me login. All I really need out of my old Sugar system is a document that I had created in it. It's just a normal document created in Sugar - not a Word document or something. Where is that stored at, and can I retrieve it without having to rebuild the Sugar installation?

No idea what a "normal" document is but I'd try it with notes first. Phpmyadmin has a very nice search function by the way

Problem is, I can't restore my SQL DB. I just have the files. By document, I mean a Sugar document.

If you have the files you can restore them. just copy them into the respective directory in another SQL installation (under linux this would be var/lib)

Document: There is no such a thing as a Sugar document. If it is a note it can be found in the table notes, if it was a document (.doc, xls, pdf ...) it is under cache/uploads normally but with the database reference rather than its original name.
