How can I send an email to users with a specific custom field ?

Hello,

I'm using SugarCRM self hosted for my company. We will be using SugarCRM mostly for email marketing.

I create a few custom fields for my contacts. I would like for example to be able to have a mailing list for users with a specific custom field.

Let's say theoritically I have a "gender" field, with as a value M or F for each contact.
And I would like to email every male in my contacts (this is an example, I'm not sexist), how could I do that ?

I wouldn't want to manually add every male to the target list because that would take some time if I have for example 1M users.

This is a common request for several companies.
You can add the field gender in the Contacts Advanced Search, so you can filter by gender when adding Contacts into a Target List.

Thank you for your response.
I've been trying to add the field gender in the Contacts Advanced Search but I cannot find a way to do so.

I'm using SugarCRM CE,
I've clicked onto "Contacts" then expanded the Advanced Search. But didn't find an option to add gender.

I've also tried searching in the Admin panel / Studio etc.. but didn't find it either.

Could you explain more in detail where is that option ?

PS: I do find it annoying that posts need to be validated on this forum. Especially that there isn't someone checking 24/7. If its faster to spend 3 hours trying to figure it out yourself the forum isn't very useful. I do google 15-20 min before posting on a forum.
