    Exclamation How to "clone" default field in sugar

    I am still finding it difficult to work out the functions when creating fields in the studio.
    I want to use the start field in the call module and use the same file in opportunities.
    What is the option for cloning a system field when adding a new field?

    Thanks in advance

    Can you kindly clarify in details what you are going to accomplish?

    I want to have the functionality of setting callbacks inside the opportunity module and that these dates are similar to the schedule a call module in that you will have the dates in red when overdue.
    I find sugar has too many screens and the whole user interaction is very slow so I am trying to speed things up with less screens.

    This is not a feature you can just copy and paste.
    You need to implement it according to your needs.
    This feature in Calls module is implemented several places and other features share the same code.
    So you have to:
    • Create the fields;
    • Add the fields into layout;
    • Create logic_hook process_record to display this date in red if overdue.

    Hi Andre,

    Thank you for that.
    Can you let me know how you do this:

    Create logic_hook process_record to display this date in red if overdue

    Many thanks
